How to install skills

There are two supported paths for installing skills into your hosted CyClaw instance.

We recommend using chat to add or remove skills whenever possible.

Option 1. Install or remove skills by chatting with CyClaw

You can ask your CyClaw directly to install or remove a skill through conversation.

This is the recommended path when you want a faster natural-language workflow.

Option 2. Add skills manually from the page

If you prefer using the page directly, you can first browse skills on ClawHub Skills, copy the skill name you want, then go back to the instance details page and click Manual input.

Tip

Manual installation depends on OpenClaw's underlying logic and may not always succeed. Possible reasons include, but are not limited to: incorrect skill name, restricted account access to the skill, or the skill no longer exists.

This path is useful when you want to select skills visually and then add them from the page.

Important

First choose the skill in ClawHub Skills, copy the skill name, then paste it through Manual input on the page.
